A path for each person
Keep a separate timeline with each of the people who matter. One shows at a time; swipe or tap the names to move between them.
Tether is a shared timeline for you and the people you love. Write a memory the moment it happens, add a few photos, and watch it land on their phone, wherever they are.
How it works
Tether keeps one timeline per person, shared through iCloud. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to set up beyond an invite.

Send an invite in Messages. When they open it on their iPhone, you're connected. No account, no sign-up.
A title is all it takes. Add a few lines and some photos, set the date, or mark it as a milestone to count the days.
It shows up on their phone, usually within seconds. They can react with a tap, or send a Ping when you're on their mind.
Features
Everything in Tether exists to help you remember, share, and feel close. Nothing else.
Keep a separate timeline with each of the people who matter. One shows at a time; swipe or tap the names to move between them.
Turn any memory into a milestone and the top of the path counts the days since it happened, or how long until it does.
Like a tapback in Messages. They see your heart, laugh or happy tear on their phone.
One tap to say "thinking of you." Their phone buzzes, wherever they are.
Tether never waits for a signal. Write on the plane; it syncs when you land.
Your memories live on your device and in your own iCloud. We never see them, and there are no ads or tracking.
Export your whole logbook as readable text or as JSON, any time, from Settings.

Privacy
There aren't any. Tether keeps everything on your devices and in your own iCloud, and shares it only with the people you invite.
Good questions
Yes. Each person needs Tether on an iPhone or iPad and to be signed in to iCloud. That's how memories travel between you, with no account of ours in the middle.
No. Tether uses the iCloud account already on your iPhone. You can also use it on your own, fully offline, and invite someone later.
Memories are tiny. Photos count toward the iCloud storage of whoever started the path, the person who sent the invite. If that storage fills up, syncing pauses and Settings tells you why; the app keeps working and catches up once there's room.
Not yet. Tether is built on iCloud, which is Apple-only. If you'd like an Android version, tell me. It helps to know who's asking.
Tether is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Want a note the day it lands?
